The Rams will release vetrean Safety Quintin Mikell on Monday according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move saves the Rams about $3 million this season.
Mikell signed a 4-year, $27 million contract with the Rams in 2011, The deal included $14 million guaranteed.
The former Eagles safety has some skills as in-the-box safety and a knack for creating turnovers, Mikell recorded 2 INTs and 9 FFs in two seasons with the Rams.
He shouldn't have much trouble finding a new team as a veteran presence in the secondary.
