Cowboys release LB Dan Connor

The Cowboys signed former Panthers LB Dan Connor to a 2-year, $6.5 million contract last season, he is now released according to Pro Football Talk, saving $3M in cap space.

The former 3rd round pick Connor started 8 games last season recording 56 tackles, he is nothing more than a run stopper having recorded no INTs and only one sack in his 5-year career.

The Cowboys are shifting to a 4-3 defense but Connor could of had a role if he was counting for less against the salary cap.
